Winemaker's Comments

This wine is a blend of selected parcels of old vine Hunter Valley Semillon that we are fortunate enough to have access to. The distinctive characters of each vineyard work in synergy to create a wine with its own unique personality. 

Part of what makes all our single-vineyard wines such benchmarks for the region is the absolute no-compromise approach to selecting only the very best parcels. This leaves behind a number of ‘declassified' parcels which we put together to create this blend. The majority of the 2023 Synergy Semillon blend is from our Braemore vineyard (approximately 65%), with the balance from the Brycefield and Fordwich Hill vineyards. The slightly riper 2024 vintage has provided a more generous and approachable style making this wine particularly enjoyable as a youngster.
This wine delivers outstanding quality for everyday drinking at an amazingly affordable price.

Tasting Notes

Vibrant pale lemon colour with a light green hue. The nose is true to varietal and showing plenty of grapefruit, nashi and jackfruit notes. The palate is crisply dry with an immediate drinkability showing generous lemon myrtle, honeydew, Tahitian lime and lemongrass notes with hints of dried ginger and saffron. It’s a juicy style with plenty of length and flavour with a subliminally taut acidity providing a pleasing freshness to the finish.
An absolutely perfect accompaniment to fresh seafood dishes. Seriously smashable…..
