Why Cellar Hunter Valley Semillon

Hunter Valley Semillon is renowned for its vibrant citrus flavors and crisp acidity. This white wine is often cellared to develop complex notes of honey and toasty oak. Aging allows the fruit character to evolve, resulting in a rich and creamy texture. Cellaring Hunter Valley Semillon enhances its overall drinking experience, making it a favorite among wine enthusiasts.

How Long To Cellar Hunter Valley Semillon

Braemore Semillon, or really most Hunter Valley Semillon, can be enjoyed in their youth while they are brimming with refreshing acidity and citrus characters. If, like us, you don't mind waiting a little longer, we highly recommend holding onto your Braemore Semillon for a minimum of 6 years and upwards of 20 years.

Over time the colour will change darkening to a golden hue and the flavour profile will change to a nutty, honeyed profile. The longer you leave it, the more these bottle aged characters will show through.

What to Pair Semillon With

While young Semillon pairs well with seafood including oysters, scallops, fish and prawns, an aged Semillon pairs well pork, chicken and softer cheeses such as a wash rind. Young or aged, serve your Semillon chilled and enjoy.
